Mclaren Clockwork Submarines

U49 has a 3 plate hull,I didn't fit a keel choosing to cram 350g of lead trim into the bilge instead just to see how it would look.The aft planes are a through hull type leaving the rudder clear.The fwd and aft ballast tanks allow the boat to be very accurately trimmed for diving,this combined with the large planes and the strong single spring motor gives a cracking prolonged submerged run of about 30 feet.I went a bit "rebel fleet" with the superstructure which I think looks cool however there have been complaints from the dabtoes as they tend to roll off the deck when tying up.
